What do you do when you’ve spent your whole adult life striving to become a successful musician, and then when you finally reach that breakthrough you discover that success still doesn’t fix that creeping sadness you’ve felt since you were a kid?

In this conversation Gary talks openly about that struggle and how he’s managed to, in his words, become great friends with his demons. We also talk about what it was like growing up in Bangor in Northern Ireland during the Troubles, the impact Nirvana had on him as a kid, his journey to sobriety, how his father’s battle with dementia has affected him and much, much more.
