Kevin Cronin has written some of the biggest hits in music history, such as "Keep On Loving You" and "Can’t Fight This Feeling", while REO Speedwagon’s 1980 album High Infidelity was one of the highest selling records of that decade.

Kevin survived the excesses of that period as well as the commercial downturn the band endured in the late '80s/early '90s, as founding member Gary Richrath departed and REO Speedwagon got cast aside in the grunge and punk rock booms.

After a period of uncertainty he also led REO Speedwagon’s resurgence to the point where they now find themselves back in the arenas and amphitheatres they used to call home, with their music used in shows such as Stranger Things and Ozark.

We talk about it all in this interview – from Kevin’s upbringing to his path to joining REO in 1972, from being temporarily let go in the mid-'70s to then penning the band’s biggest hits in the '80s and beyond.
